Karen Hayes
Karen is a member of the Thalanyji language group from Onslow and was raised on pastoral stations throughout the West Pilbara region.
She has extensive community knowledge of the Pilbara district and the people and language groups that belong to the area.
Karen has many years of experience as an Onslow Thalanyji Heritage Field Worker, Airport Security, Administration and in Customer Service.
Karen has extensive community connections in the Onslow, Carnarvon and Port Hedland. Her local and regional knowledge of country stems from her work as a Heritage Field Worker.
Karen as the director of Jundalya is committed to providing employment opportunities for the locals via the mining and construction projects coming to the region.
Marija Vujcic
Marija’s role as General Manager of Jundalya is to provide the human resource expertise to build the foundations of the business.
Her commitment to the Thalanyji community dates to 2010. She has a trusted and valued relationship with the traditional owners.
Marija’s resource project experience extends but is not limited to Wheatstone, Gorgon, Christmas Creek, Sino Iron, Yandi, and the new Perth Stadium. The depth of experience is reflected in her ability and confidence in delivering high standards of performance across all facets of human resources and employee relations.
Through her resource project work, Marija has worked extensively with contractors monitoring and reporting on indigenous employment targets. Marija’s experience in; project cost controls and cost/benefit analysis, strategic human resource business planning and the management of lower tier contractors is invaluable for identifying and developing indigenous business development opportunities.
